What I Offer

Therapeutic Approaches

I provide individual and group counseling to help you define and work on the issues that get in the way of the life you want to live.

Trauma and PTSD

I’m trained in Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). It’s a powerful tool for reducing the impact of trauma and PTSD on your life. As a result, you won’t have to live with constant triggers or explosive emotions.

Depression and Anxiety

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy, I work with you to understand how your thoughts and the story you tell yourself affect your emotions and behavior. Changing how you think can change how you feel and behave.

Addiction

Whether you’re addicted to alcohol, another substance, or a behavior (sex, porn, gambling, internet, shopping) dealing with your addiction is about understanding and creating alternatives to the pathways that automatically fire in your brain.

How I Work

Therapy Process

01

Getting to Know You

Before we start, I want to get to know you as thoroughly and holistically as possible. So we’ll meet to discuss your mental, emotional and physical health and history.

02

Agreeing on Objectives

Then, I’ll work with you to understand what you want to achieve. We’ll agree on the objectives that will get you there and create a plan.

03

Therapy Process

Next, we will work together to implement a therapy process that helps you achieve your objectives and make the improvements you desire. This may include processing past behaviors and practicing new ones.

04

Review

As you start to make progress, we’ll review your goals and objectives. This way we can make sure we continue to work on what’s important to you.

05

Reinforcement

As we move along, I’ll help you discover what reinforces the positive steps you take. This will help you keep your focus and give you tools to strengthen your positive progress.

06

Closure

When you’ve achieved your objectives, know how to reinforce your positive behaviors, and feel more confident in your coping and life skills, it’s time for closure.

How I help

Do you feel trapped in a story that you don’t

like? Do you feel powerless, misunderstood, or

lacking in some way? So much of what we

experience is the result of the stories we believe

about ourselves. Often, we don’t examine these

stories to see if they’re true. I want to help you

break through to a more genuine understanding

of yourself.

We’ll look for your strengths, abilities, and true

interests and we’ll work to discover how you can

rise above the limitations you currently perceive.

I have years of experience successfully coaching

people with anxiety, mental health challenges

and addictions. I’d be honored to work with

you.
